Promotes the growth of infant commensal flora populations. Maternal gut microbiota has a significant impact on infant microbiome and health. Commensal microbiota colonisation is initiated by contact with vaginal microflora during birth, and matures under breast milk and environmental influences. Probiotic strains are transferred from mother to infant via human colostrum and milk during breastfeeding, providing a continuous supply of commensal and potential probiotic bacteria to the infant gut.

Assists behavioural complaints in later childhood (when taken during pregnancy and infancy). A randomised control trial (RCT) of 159 mother-baby pairs taking 10 billion LGG® daily (prenatally until 6 months) found by 13 years an absence of behavioural complaints, compared to 17% of the control group.

Reduces symptoms of colic. A double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomised trial involving 192 breastfed infants, 12 weeks of age or less, was conducted using 1 billion of BB-12® daily. The study found that after 21 days, BB-12® reduces the duration of excessive crying and fussing, an increase in sleeping time in infants and an improvement in health-related quality of life for parents.

Maternal glucose metabolism. Up to 10% of pregnant women experience glucose transport problems. An RCT of 10 billion CFU of BB-12® and LGG®was shown to assist maternal glucose metabolism during pregnancy, while 2011 research found that LGG® and BB-12® reduced the occurrence of weight gain following childbirth.

    Gift Vouchers

    A gift voucher is a great idea to show someone you love them, to say thank you, or simply to show you care. Vouchers are valid for 3 years. (Stolen or lost vouchers cannot be reclaimed). Gift vouchers can be purchased on our website or by calling us – credit cards are accepted over the phone. A gift voucher must be presented at the time of payment to be redeemed.

    Groups

    We are more than happy to make special group arrangements for birthday celebrations, hen’s parties and corporate groups. For groups of four or more we do require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of the booking.

    Cancellation

    We require cancellation notice of 48 hours to avoid full charges being applied to your cancellation; this also applies to gift voucher bookings.
